Hello and welcome! My name is Madison Gough and I am an actor, singer, and director based in the DMV and NYC areas. I have over twelve years of training and performance experience in numerous styles of acting, my most extensive being in Musical Theatre and Classical Theatre.
I believe that as actors, directors, and storytelling creatives, we succeed as long as we never stop learning. Through collaboration and connection we find discovery, and the most gratifying part of this work to me is learning from people and discovering things with people.
Updates!
Classical Acting at LAMDA
I recently returned to the US after spending three months in London, training under the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (LAMDA)’s Semester Programme in Classical Acting. My studies spanned a wide range of period-specific skills, including historical combat and dance, and focused on texts from the Elizabethan and Jacobean eras.
My projects at LAMDA included playing Vindice in The Revenger’s Tragedy by Thomas Middleton, directed by Nicola Sanderson, as well as Olivia in Twelfth Night by William Shakespeare, directed by Lucas Hare.
Posner’s The Two Gentlemen of Verona
This March, I will be playing Launce in American University’s world-premiere production of a new musical adaptation of William Shakespeare’s The Two Gentlemen of Verona, adapted and lyrics by Aaron Posner, with music and lyrics by Greg Kotis.
The production is directed by Aaron Posner with music direction by Susan Derry. The Two “Gentlemen” of Verona runs March 26-28, 2026 at American University’s Greenberg Theatre. Check back here for a link to purchase tickets!
